The Vaish Co-operative New Bank Limited originally known as The Vaish Co-operative Urban Bank Limited was established on 04th March, 1964 under the visionary leadership of Late Rai Bahadur Lala Gaya Parshad Ji with a Share Capital of Rs.1.30 lakh and having 1216 members. The Bank was formed with the object to cater the financial needs of the residents of Delhi particularly small traders, poors and downtrodden.
The operations of the Bank were started from a small rented premises at Darya Ganj, New Delhi which is at present the Head Office of the Bank and along with adjoining premises now owned by the Bank. At present the Bank is having eleven branches covering practically all the zones of Delhi. Out of these eleven branches, seven are owned by the Bank and remaining four are in rented premises. *The branch originally opened on 01.07.1977 and was shifted on 29.12.1996 from rented accommodation to owned premises at Sarita Vihar.
** The branch was shifted from rented accommodation to owned premises in the same area on 19.03.1995 and was inaugurated by Sh.R.K.Goswami, IAS, Registrar Cooperative,Societies Delhi.
Bank celebrated its Golden Jubilee in the year 2014 in a grand function wherein oldest members and esteemed customers were honoured by giving Mementos by the Chief Guest Mrs.Rachna Dixit, General Manager, UBD, Reserve Bank of India, New Delhi. Chairman, Delhi Urban Cooperative Banks’ Federation and General Secretary, Delhi State Cooperative Union were also present as Guest of honour.
In the growth story, the Bank shall always remember the contribution of Late Sh.Kalka Prasad Aggarwal, who remained Chairman of the Bank for 22 years, Late Sh.Trilok Chand Gupta and Late Sh.Onkar Nath Gupta, who served as Director and Hony. Secretary for 27 years and 20 years respectively and our dedicated workforce.

Considering the excellent performance Delhi Government had awarded number of times ‘BEST CO-OPERATIVE BANK SHIELD’ to the Bank. In individual category also Board members were given ‘BEST CO-OPERATOR’ Award several times.
The present management under the able leadership of Shri Mahesh Kumar Gupta, Chairman and Shri Achal Kumar Gupta, Hony. Secretary is following the path shown by the predecessors and continuing to contribute their best in further growth of the Bank.
